I have helped MANY parents of multiples with these issues and everyone has different needs.
1. Check your car in the database to see which seats fit best. If none are listed then head on over to Babies R Us and have them walk you out to your car with two seats. My top pick is the
Graco Snugride or
Safeseat, and Ill tell you why in a minute.
2. How active is Mom? If she is wanting to go out with the twins frequently then you need to be sure the stroller you pick is easy to fold, and fits in your trunk. Also make sure she can lift it.
3. If you want an in-between that is super lightweight, check Craigslist for a twin stroller frame. Essentially this allows you to stick both carseats right into the frame and have a twin stroller. I suggest
Graco because
Peg Perego will not fit on a frame.
4. If you want a stroller to use from now on look into the following and see what fits you the best:
Graco Quattro Duo (lasts longer, better fold),
Graco Duoglider(lighter weight, less features), BOB Revolution Duallie with two carseat adapters, and
Peg Perego.
Oh and just so you know, when you purchase two 'big ticket' items from Babies R Us at the same time and let them know you are having twins, they have a multiple birth discount for 10% off.
Good luck and congrats!
