Rear-facing is so much safer than
forward-facing and you have one of the best
rear-facing seats out there. It has a 33 pound
rear-facing weight limit and a very tall seat shell to accommodate even the tallest kids
rear-facing to 33 pounds.
Kids under age 2 who are
forward-facing are 4 times more likely to be killed in a crash than those who are still
rear-facing.

That being said (and even though I highly encourage you to keep baby
rear-facing as long as possible), did you make sure to put the base in the "upright" position when you moved it facing forward?
