First, if there is any possible way for you to get to a Babies R Us or other specialty shop that carries
Britax, try them before you buy. The RA is a nice seat, but for some extra money, you can get a
Marathon or a
Boulevard and keep your child
rear facing longer b/c the shell is taller. You can also keep your child harnessed to 65lbs vs only 40 with the RA.
In your vehicle manual, does it allow the installation of a carseat in the middle? How old is your child? If you child is still
RFing and has more upper body control, you can recline the seat between 30-45 degrees (as long as their head doesn't flop forward when trying to sleep).
If you aren't getting a very good install in the middle, I would move the seat to an outboard location to see if you can get a better install. If you are still having issues, take your vehicle to a car seat tech and see if they can assist you!
