The BLVD has a bar that goes around the sides and front...and it has two straps on either side with a latch connector on the end. So there are 2 tails to pull. When it's time to turn from RF to FF...you have to switch which side the connectors are on to the opposite side.

The decathalon has 1 strap with a connector on either end. When it's time to switch from RF to FF you have to move the strap from the RF belt path to the FF belt path.

I don't think either method is hard, just different and maybe a personal preference type thing.
