Hi there! Do you have a Babies-R-Us nearby? (I've had to drive 4 hours one way for "nearby" ) BRU is generally quite good about letting parents test carseats out in their vehicles, sometimes asking to hold the driver's lisence while installation is tested out.... The Snugride does tend to fit most vehicles correctly rather easily (in comparison) so I suggest trying it out & making sure you've scheduled an appointment with your local CPST to check the install once you've bought your choice of carseat: just make sure the follow the manuals (it helps to read the vehicle manual before you get to the store)

CONGRATS + good luck

READ/FOLLOW BOTH CARSEAT + VEHICLE MANUALS!
The best carseat fits the child, fits the vehicle & is always used correctly....
Get your seat checked.
