A Marathon will likely fit better than the infant seat. You won't need to allow room for your hands to get in there to undo the release and britax allows their seats to touch/be braced up against the front seat.

Also your older baby won't need a newborn recline of 45*, she can be more upright now.

My husband has a sentra and my best friend a Marathon, but I haven't tried her seat in his car.

You CAN go to Babies R Us and try the seat in your car to see how it fits before you buy.

And for what it's worth--I have a 2005 Malibu Maxx that I LOVE...it's great for carseats, for the most part. I know a marathon fits RF with no problems. The 2008 Malibu is getting great reviews, but I don't know if they've put out a Maxx version.
