I'm struggling to fit 3 carseats into a Lexus GX...a nice gift from my husband, but sadly proving to be very impractical for a mom with 3 kids. I have a 6 year old, a 4 year old...both are currently in
Graco TurboBoost boosters, but those are too wide to fit across the middle row. I have a 14 month old (weighs 30 pounds) who is in a
Britax Roundabout...I'm pretty sure that isthe make...it is among the more narrow carseats on the market. The
Roundabout is a great seat and I don't want to switch that one out...but if I could find better boosters, I would certainly try those. Is the Fisher Price Safe Voyage a good option? In looking at the specs, for two carseats, it would shave off a total of 6 inches in width, but I don't want to buy them without having it really make a difference. For now, my two older kids ride in the backrow and climb over the seat, which is really a pain, and I would be more comfortable with them in the middle. I carpool, A LOT, so I end up moving seats around quite a bit to make it all work. I'd like to be able to keep at least two seats in the middle so I can flip the middle row up/down to let kids crawl in the back without having to climb over the seat with muddy shoes, etc.
