The Sunshine Kids Radian is only 14" wide at the base & has a nice low profile -- I don't know if they'll fit FF next to each other, but it shouldn't be too hard to put an infant between them.... The Radian fits both newborns + older kids well & will keep your twins safer in the harness longer before they need to switch to a booster. I don't know how the Radian installs in the Subaru, but if your local Babies-R-Us doesn't have it then just make sure the online retailer has a good return/exchange policy & make sure you have a local CPST check your install
