Wow, It seems Ill finally feel I found a good safe car and then i stumble accross something on another site suggesting its not safe. ![]() my situation: I have a honda civic and I am wanting something a little bigger but still fuel effecient and most important SAFE. My four year old is in the Graco Natilus and my 11 month old is in the cosco alpha omega elite. With these in my civic there is absolutley no room to but someone in the middle. SO i want a mid to large size sedan that i could fit a person or maybe smaller car seat in the middle. I looked at impala, malibu, five hundreds, sonota. I was told they were five stars and great saftey but then i came home and looked on the internet and found lots of conflicing info. SO my question is do you know a safe sedan taht has good rear collision, side coliision, etc basically great back row passenger saftey that is under $14000.00 for an 06 or above?

I also have Honda Civic but actually i dont know how safe is this on safty concerns. I think its dual air bags and anti slip braking system are very appriciable. Now i am thinking about BMW. ----------------------------------------------------------- Kris Franson Addiction Recovery Colorado

I found this site IIHS-HLDI: Crash Testing*&*Highway Safety It depends on what year your civic is. Mine was an 04 and it was great on side and fron but POOR on rear. The 08 civics and accords are great! I love this site. It breaks down everything. For example I looked at the 07 ford 500 and they are good on everything but then it breaks it down and says that at a crash 45 mph or more you have a good chance of the passenger having rib fractures. I ended up getting a certified uses 08 tarus limited for an amazing price. It was a top saftey pick, with good on everything and the dummies substained no injuries on crash test. Plus I can fit three car seats in it no prob.. YEA!!! Plus the new tarus are so nice!! When people see it they dont believe that its a tarus.. It drives great has great features and is comfy too.. Love it!! The MPG isnt near as good as my civic though but hey Its safe and bigger!!

| ~20ish years ago the safest thing on the road was a Volvo, but now pretty much *any* new car is safer than those older Volvos (hopefully this is reassuring).... Remember that frontal crashes are by far the most common, rear crashes being much lower on the risk scale not only because they're less common but also because the injury rates are lower. As for the space in your backseat, well the Alpha Omega is a wide seat, not to mention a general higher tendancy for misuse in compared to many other carseats (there's a wonky top slot harness vs. booster only use issue). It'll be much easier & less expensive to buy a new carseat. What is your child's age/weight/height? The most important things are correct carseat use & a sober, defensive driver ![]()

Motor vehicle crashes remain the leading cause of death and acquired disability to U.S. children, despite safer vehicles, safer roads, and more children than ever before traveling in age-appropriate child occupant restraint systems. In 2006, an average of five children 14 years and younger were killed, and 568 children were injured in motor vehicle crashes each day. rocky Addiction Recovery Georgia Addiction Recovery and Treatment Programs
