| I find the carseat selection process so overwhelming. My son is 3 y.o. and about to outgrow his Britax Roundabout for height. So, I'm looking at the Britax Frontier, but have some questions.... 1. How long will he be able to use the 5-point harness before he'll need to use it as a booster? 2. How long can we install it via LATCH before we have to switch to the belt install? 3. Finally, will it fit in the second row of a 2006 Toyota Sienna? If not, how about in a 2009 Prius? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer! ![]() |

| I have not, unfortunately, gotten my hands on a Frontier, but I do like the Graco Nautilus. It's also a high weight FF harness & booster combination seat. I'm not aware of any install issues with the Nautilus & my 7 y.o. just barely outgrew the harness (my kid is leggy without a long torso). LATCH limits depend on the vehicle year, make, model.

| The Frontier harnesses to 85lbs. We use the seatbelt belt path then just tether it down in the back as my 2001 Yukon does not have LATCH. It is good and tight. It is a HUGE seat. Let me say that a friend at work who is 125lbs can fit in the seat. I have a Yukon and with the Britax Frontier and the Britax Decathlon (RF) it is a snug fit for a full sized adult to sit between the two of them. We have the Graco Nautilus for my DH car. It is a great seat also. I will be able to get alot longer use out of the Frontier though, height wise, I do believe. |
