Finding a certified car seat inspection site?

I checked here... Child Safety Seat Inspection Station Locator
and it gave me a number, I called the number it and it just a general number for the ohio highway patrol. The lady I spoke with gave me the number to the closest place to me, but said that they don't always have a certified person there, just someone to check the seat installation. I want to make sure it is someone who knows what they are talking about. Any suggestions. I am in Columbus Ohio if that helps and I am willing to travel a little ways if I must.

Try the link @ the bottom of my signature -- it's usually more current & comprehensive (because although NHTSA creates the curriculum + regulations, SafeKids is actually in charge of certification training)

Also, I suggest asking the technician when they last attended a curriculum update training workshop & ask to see their ID card to make sure they are current: if you doubt their experience, you can always ask to speak with their instructor (perhaps over the phone at a separate time) or you can Google "CPSboard" to find the state coordinator if you feel you have been given unsafe/incorrect advice....
