Default car seat compatibility with a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Quick question...any help would be truly appreciated. I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but the car seat compatibility list only goes through the 2006model years. Any suggestions? Does anyone else have an 07 J.G.C.? Thanks!!!

We have a 2007 Jeep Liberty & I find installing carseats in it quite easy What are the child stats? (age, weight, height) Do you already have a carseat (which one) or are you shopping around?

Default 07 Jeep carseat

Thanks so much for replying. I am currently pregnant and already have a Snugride Infant seat. I am trying to find a car seat to register for. I was looking at the Britax Marathon--which seems to have overall good reviews. My sister has it for her toddler and loves it. So I started doing some research and saw that the Marathon may not work--but the Decathlon will, which really confuses me. I just don't want to make a mistake. Thanks. By the way, which seat do you have? Are you satisfied with it?

If the Marathon works (which it does) then every other Britax convertible & the Fisher Price Safe Voyage Deluxe will, too -- not everyone submitting info to the database is a technician or has seen a true or current technician *SIGH* (some may only be practitioners without the education or experience: I urge parents to make sure they see the individual's SafeKids certification card!)

Anyway, the Marathon & Bouelvard both have the new Rip Stitch tether which helps enhance ride down to further reduce crash forces upon the child.... The Sunshine Kids Radian also has Safe Stop, which is essentially the same concept. Radian may be less expensive & also tethers RF like Britax (only Britax, Radian & the new Recaro convertibles allow this) so it might also be a good choice, but I don't know how it installs in the Cherokee & it does have some installation issues in certain vehicles.

If you can wait a couple more months (depending on whether your baby has reached the weight limit for the current seat OR there's less than 1" between top of head & edge of shell/frame) then I suggest saving towards the Recaro Signo or Como. Although I don't know exactly how it will fit in this vehicle, it may be worth it to save for them: choose a retailer with good return policy JIC.

I currently only have FF seats for my 41# 47" tall 5 year old But, I do not foresee any major issues with the Marathon or Boulevard in your vehicle

Update & clarification:

OK, so the new Cherokees do have some changes to vehicle headrests that make tall carseats incompatible *SIGH*

The Safety 1st Uptown has a shorter shell than Britax, reasonably tall top slots & nice high RF weight limit to keep kiddo RF the longest It's also reasonably priced & comfy....

Otherwise, I'd try the Britax Roundabout
