Default Saturn VUE compatibility/2nd carseat for grandma?

I have a couple of questions--Our daughter is starting to outgrow her infant car seat, and we are searching for a convertible car seat. We brought home a Cosco Alpha Omega Elite, and we were not able to get it to recline back far enough in our Saturn VUE to properly install it in the rear-facing position (plus the it was hard to buckle without pinching my daughter's legs!) We will be taking that one back tomorrow.

I am looking for suggestions to fit in our car. Would the Britax Roundabout be a better fit than the Marathon?

Also, with my working schedule, we need to purchase 3 car seats. The primary one will be in my car (the Saturn), but we also need one for my husband's car and my mother's car. We don't want to purchase a very expensive seat for the other two cars b/c it won't get as much use.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I would only choose the Roundabout over a Marathon if the front seat occupants are extremely tall -- the Marathon will keep kiddo harnessed longer & should fit the VUE....

Good spare seat choices include the *new* Evenflo Triumph Advance, Safety 1st Uptown & Sunshine Kids Radian65 -- the Radian is generally more difficult to install correctly, but it can be tethered RF like Britax & the

What are the other vehicle year, makes, models?

The Impala should be relatively easy -- I personally would choose the new Triumph Advance (deep seat, higher RF limit but without RF tetherability, easy adjustment features, comfy)

I think the Uptown would be a better choice for the Altima since it's not quite as tall as the others....

What really matters is that the adults can use the seats correctly 100% of the time: see if your local BabiesRUs has them to play around with or make sure that the online retailer has a good return/exchange policy Just remember to follow your manuals, call customer service for clarification & visit your local tech!
