Default 2 car seats in truck

My husband needs to start driving the kids to daycare and he has a Dodge Ram with just one seat. The seat is very wide and can turn off the passenger airbag. Is it possible to have two carseats next to each other.? We are pondering trading it in for something more practical but just finished paying it off. Anyone with experience on this?

How old are the kids? Is the seat a full bench seat with the same width all the way across the truck or does it have a shorter middle part of the seat(less seat depth)?

What are the current carseats? (Graco SafeSeat Step1, Cosco Scenera, Britax Regent)

What are the children's actual age/weight/height?

What year is the Dodge Ram?
Please check the vehicle manual's section on child safety seats

I think you're describing a bench with either 3 separate seatbelt positions -- in which case, it should be possible . . . but correct placement & use depends on various factors....

1 seatbelt = 1 person

I currently own a Dodge Ram and in the center rear seating position the vehicle seat has a shorter depth than the outboard positions. Most RF seats do not meet the 80% rule for that position. FF combination seats fit fine and some convertibles fit as well. BUT....until the OP can get us the correct information we are looking for....it's hard to help and give accurate information.
