Default seat for driving long distance

I have been looking for a car seat that my son (4 years) and daughter (1.5 years) can tolerate being in for several hours at a time when on road trips. I have looked at the Brtitac/x? I have also seen Tiffany's page that refers to car beds. What is a car bed? I would like a seat that can recline so his head doesn't flop around like a fish SHe is easier to shop for but it would be nice as they are not cheap to find one that can be handed down although I am not holding my breath any will make it through the onslaught of ice cream and such Thanks for any help!

Default sorry more specific

I'm sorry...i wasn't specific and it won't let me edit my posts (by the way it also keeps kicking me out and making me re-login)

I want them to be able to sleep comfortably reclined with as much head support as possible. Thanks!

Carbeds are only for infants with special healthcare needs....

The more upright a FF seat is the safer the child is & RF seats can only be reclined between 30-45 degrees.

What seats do you currently have? What vehicle year, make, model?

It is recommended to stop at least every 2 hours for every vehicle occupant's safety & comfort -- otherwise even young healthy adults can develop painful problems in their legs, etc.

A favorite blankey or stuffed toy or crib sized pillow is usually sufficient for sleeping comfort: just remember that nothing may interfer with the carseat harness system
