Default Subaru Outback wagon

Hello - -

I have a 2002 Subaru outback wagon. I need to fit an infant seat and two boosters (preferably high backs) together in the back seat. I just tried my old GracoSnugRide in, and it seems pretty tight. I need to get a new infant seat anyway (I discovered mine is very dirty and it's at least 6 years old anyway). The boosters I have are GracoTurboboosters.

Questions:
Has anyone fit three across in an outback? Suggestions for a good configuration (infant seat in the middle or outboard)?

Or else, any suggestions for a narrow infant seat that might squeeze in better than the Graco?

Thanks. I'm just trying to avoid getting a new car since I love my outback

You might check out the Combi Infant seats, the Centre has a really good narrow cutout right where all the seatbelts line up. Also, there are narrower boosters... www.albeebaby.com has Starriser Comfies on clearance and Parkways...The parkway's not exactly narrower, but the lack of armrests makes it a lot easier to buckle than the Turbos (plus it's taller, will last taller kids longer).
As for configuration, do whatever works. Generally you want 'the most protected child in the least protected spot' so you'd put a rearfacing or harnessed child on the side seat by the door, and a boostered seat in the middle , furthest from impact (only if you have a shoulderbelt there, of course!), since a booster is less protective than a harnessed seat. BUT... when you have three kids you have to just go by the mantra, "any properly used seat in the back is VERY safe" and do whatever saves your sanity (I usually stick my baby in the middle just to keep my big kids separated!). I have a Graco Safeseat1 behind the driver in my Ford Escape, and a Parkway in the other window seat, and the Starriser comfy in the middle currently, and the older kids can buckle reasonably easily, it's a pretty narrow backseat, no bigger than yours, I don't think.
