Default how to find car seat technician?

I think this may be a good question for Papooses...but, I keep seeing notes about checking with a certified car seat professional/installer. How do you go about finding one?

Default Are safekids the only one?

Is there any other company, other than SafeKids, that are certified techs? I believe we have at least one person at our hospital that is certified with SafeKids. Our local health department does checks the first and third Monday of the month with appts, but not sure if they are certified with SafeKids. So I was just wondering, if there were other companies out that also are certified in carseat safety and installing.

SafeKids is currently the only certifying body -- it used to be AAA ... but NHTSA has always created the curriculum (to my knowledge)
