Default Britax Marathon fit in Subaru Impreza Sedan?

Does anyone have experience installing a Britax Marathon Rear-Facing in a Subaru Impreza WRX sedan (2002)?

I have installed a Graco snugride in the middle seat with no problem, but I'm concerned that a rear facing install of the Marathon may not fit well behind the front seatbacks.

I'd prefer to go with the Marathon or even a Fisher Price Safe Voyage for the higher weight limits, instead of using the smaller Britax Roundabout.

Generally, if you can fit a SnugRide you can fit a Marathon. A key factor: how old is baby? For older babies with good head/neck control you can install the RF convertible as upright as is comfortable for baby. It doesn't need to be at a 45 degree angle anymore. That will help fit a bigger convertible. Also, Britax seats are allowed to be braced against the front vehicle seat(s). So you would install the seat very upright, not really paying attention to recline angle at all. Then you would attach the RF top tether (usually to a nonmoveable point under a front seat) and use that to help get the desired level of recline. Then push the front seat(s) back against the top of the carseat. I know folks who have Marathons in tiny cars like a Chevy Cavalier two-door, so it should work in your Impreza.
