Default Tether Britax Roundabout Rear Facing?

Hello all!

We just changed our 7 mo DD into her Britax Roundabout from her Graco Snug Ride. We have installed it rear-facing in the center rear seat of my '02 Accord using the seatbelt (since there's no LATCH in the center).

What I don't know is if I need to tether it rear facing or not....the manual says that it may be tethered, but does it NEED to be?

TIA

I'd definitely tether it. I'm pretty sure the very back of the front seat track on the Accord is a great place to tie the tether connector strap. This page explains it really well http://www.angelfire.com/wa3/isakswings/ratetherrf.html

(High Five to you for not installing it in the middle with LATCH, I love when people read manuals )

So, since it's in the center, is it OK to tether it to one of the front seats (ie. a little off to the side)?

(Thanks for the high five on the LATCH thing!) They make this so hard I think! We even took the carseat class at the hospital before she was born!

:-)

Yeah, a little tipping is fine, probably you'll be the only one who notices it (for forward facing, it's more important to use the top tether directly behind the seat or designated for the seat, for rearfacing, it's not as tight or as critical to be in a straight line from the back of the seat)
