| My son is now too big for his infant car seat. We purchased an Eddie Bauer Deluxe 3 in 1 Convertible and it is way too big for our car. He's only 8 months old, so he still has 4 months before we can move to forward facing. Any recommendations? He's 22 or 23 lbs right now. |

| My opinion? I would return the 3 in 1 and get your money back. Unfortunately, 3 in 1 seats will NOT be the last seat you will ever own. The majority of children outgrow the harness WAAAAY before they are ready to be in a booster. There are several higher weight harness seats on the market today. Britax Marathon/Boulevard/Decathlon--all will harness to 33lbs RFing and 65lbs FFing. Evenflo Triumph Advance---harness to 35lbs RFing and 50lbs FFing. Fisher Price Safe Voyage Deluxe (they have discontinued this seat due to low sales)--made by Britax--will RF to 33lbs and FF to 55lbs. Recaro Signo/Como--these seats are pretty large, so they may or may NOT work in your vehicle--they will RF to 35lbs and FF to 70lbs. These are smaller seats, BUT will only harness to 40lbs. Safety 1st Uptown--RF to 35lbs and FF to 40lbs Cosco Scenera--RF to 35lbs and FF to 40lbs

| Ditto.... 3 in 1 seats are marketed quite well yet we consider them to be Jacks of All Trades, Masters of None Also, please visit my website (page: "Newborns -- Preschool") link in signature to learn why 12 months is no longer the standard recommendation to turn forward. The American Academy of Pediatrics & Safe Kids urge parents to keep kids RF until the maximum weight or height limit of their convertible seat, which may be at least a year or more after baby's 1st birthday. The seat you have generally works well RF, but the majority of kids outgrow it's harness FF long before they are truly ready for booster use & as a booster, this seat pales in comparison to more dedicated options. This seat will also likely expire before kiddo is able to safely ride without a booster. I personally would only use this seat RF and/or only as a spare. Have you checked the database yet to see which carseats fit your vehicle?
