I need a new airplane seat for my dd, who is 2, 36" and about 29 lbs. The Bolero I originally bought for this purpose is just too big and heavy to carry around (I have arthritis), and I need to stay under $150. A ff only seat is okay since we only fly to my parents', and they have a Scenera on their end. I really don't want another Scenera; I'm thinking a decent spare I can use with her, or when we hit the point where I have her little friends in the car. What do you think? I'd really wanted a Go, but it's not airline approved. Is it that the thing physically won't stay up without a top tether?

The go isn't the right choice for you...need the top tether. Have you considered getting a luggage trolley from Wal-mart---that way you don't have to carry it...or will it wedge into your stroller...so at least you can wheel it between gates. I think one of the gogo kidz fits many seats---just not britax...I'm just not sure if it'll fit the bolero. Susan

I know a lot of people that use the Graco Comfortsport for airline and travel use. It only goes to 40lbs though. Evenflo makes a pretty light seat that now goes to 50lbs. I know Babies R Us has it in stock, but I cant remember the name of it. Its about $100 and usually right by their Evenflo Triumphs.
