Wink 1999 Pathfinder, installation questions

Hi,
We bought the Britax Marathon yesterday, our 4 month old is 20 pounds and 28 inches. My pathfinder does not have the latch system, we have to use the seat belt. I couldnt figure out how to make the belt go through the seat to buckle. Is there a better convertable seat for older cars? Am I totally missing something easy to buckle the chair down..... any suggestions! Thank you!!

Have you read the instruction manual? I want to say there is a specific way to thread the belt around the bars. Then for which lock-off to use.

Are you using a lap only belt or a lap/shoulder belt?

You can also take the cover and pull it up so you can see the gray foam and then once you have the belt through the path and tightened, put the foam back down.

Also you could visit a local tech. There is a link on the carseatdata main page to find a local tech. They should teach you how to install your seat...not just put it in for you.

Susan

Ditto PP---read your manual. It is IMPERATIVE to read not only your carseat manual but your vehicle manual as well. Doing this will ensure that will have proper placement of your carseat in your vehicle. Now, once you read your carseat manual, if you cannot install the seat, please seek out a carseat tech in your area to show you. https://ssl13.cyzap.net/dzapps/dbzap...AFEKIDSCERTSQL
