I have a 2007 Yaris hatchback, and I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for an appropriate car seat for this vehicle? I am due in June so I will need suggestions for an infant car seat! Thanks...

I haven't had the opportunity to work in this vehicle.

Do you have a BRU or a TRU near you? If so, they will let you try seats out in your car.

Go and play with the seats in the store, do research online and figure out what seats you like and then try them.

The Chicco KeyFit, Graco SafeSeat 1, and Graco Snugride are generally very easy to use seats. Just make sure the Snugride can have the straps tightened from the front..not the back.

Susan

I have found that the Baby Trend seats have a narrow base and take up less room. The SafeSeat is a GREAT seat as it will likely hold your child the longest (97% of 1 year olds), so if you are eyeing a higher priced convertible, it will give you more time to save up!!

I agree with Susan--I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Chicco KeyFit. They have a new one that will harness up to 30lbs, so again, similar to the SafeSeat.
