Default subaru no latch in center?

I know I'm a bit ;ate to this post but, in my forester, there is no latch center, only outboard, and subaru told me to only use the seat outboard, no center, regardless of latch or seatbelt....I had thought it was for all soobies but maybe it is different for yours, might be worth checking!

The customer service rep at Subaru was most likely not safety technician -- if the vehicle manual shows/explains center carseat installation with seatbelt (it does) then you can do just that assuming it gives a secure fit with less than 1" movement at the belt path: if not, then you would need to install outboard, but if you still cannot achieve a secure install then you should visit your local CPST

The best carseat fits the child, fits the vehicle & is always used correctly....
Get your seat checked.
