Default Britax Boulevard or Diplomat for infant

My husband and I were considering getting the Boulevard or Diplomat for our baby when he arrives in August. Anyone have any advice or experience with these seats in this situation?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, the Britax convertible seats do not fit newborns well at all. If you choose to bypass the infant carrier, then I would look at a convertible that has a lower set of harness slots to start your child off in. The Cosco Scenera fits most newborns really well.

The BRitax seats ARE rated for 5lbs and up, but their bottom slots are 10" and that is usually about 3" too tall for them.

I would possibly reconsider getting him/her an infant carrier.

Thanks for the info! Both seats looked a little big for infants. We have a Chicco infant seat to use already. But weren't sure if we were going to get another base or not and put the $$ toward the convertable.

Sunshine Kids Radian also fits newborns really well & should last kiddo until it expires (6 years) when kiddo should be ready for a dedicated booster. It also offers option top tethering while rear-facing like Britax. However, it can be more difficult to install in certain vehicles. If you don't like or want an infant-only seat, I would consider trying out the Radian (either at a Babies R Us or at least make sure the online retailer has a good return/exchange policy). Whichever seat you decide on, it's wise to have a CPST check your install
