Suggestions for 2nd/backup seat

I currently have an EFTA used RF in a 2007 Yukon. We would like to get a 2nd seat for my husbands truck - 2000 Dodge RAM 1500 Quad Cab - for use in an emergency or when I have to work late. Any suggestions? DD is 22 months, 25 lbs and 32" tall.

I see there are about 1 dozen different Ram subcategories Not sure why it works out that way, but look through them all: it should give you a starting point to see if any carseats are absolutely out of the question.... Then, try playing around with some seats at a local store -- just don't listen to retail employee advice until/unless they show proof of SafeKids certification.

It's all about finding a seat within your budget that is easiest for your family to follow the instructions for correct use Try 'em out & make an appointment with your local CPST once you've made your purchase

P.S. if you travel frequently, the Cosco Scenera may be a good choice simply because it is inexpensive, easy to use & very lightweight (although it does lack some safety features available on other seats). Although, there are other seats more suited for extended rear-facing & long-term harnessing (the benefits of such are explained in further detail in my site)
