| I love both the Boulevard and Regent. I am having a hard time deciding on which one to buy. My son is 10 1/2 months old and is 16 lbs and not quite 28 in long. Right now he is in the graco safe seat step 1 and the Evenflo Triumph. The triumph will expire in Dec, so I will need a new seat. I was only 19 1/2 lbs at 1 yr old, so I am thinking he will be small for awhile. I can't afford to buy the Boulevard in order to keep him RFing for as long as possible ( plus the head wings are nice) and then buy the Regent after he out grows the Boulevard. I love how the Regent goes up to 80 lbs in a harness. What is the average age of a 65 lb kid and an 80 lb kid? Is a 65 lb kid ready for a booster after that? I have also heard that it is safer to not recline FFing, and I know the Regent is only FFIng and doesn't recline. So what can I do help my son sleep comfortably on a long trip in a Regent? I know you aren't suppose to add anything to the car seat that it doesn't come with. Is there anything I missed? I just want to make sure I buy the best car seat for him. With both seats, I will have to order online since they don't sell in stores. Also right now, we have a ford tauras wagon. We will also be buying a new car in the future, but not sure what kind right now. I love the idea of RFing for as long as possible but love to have him harnessed longer too. Should I go with the Regent or the Boulevard then to a booster? |

| Most kids do still need a booster after the Regent -- even if state law doesn't require it, the laws of physics do.... RF is sooooo much safer than FF that I would consider a less costly convertible now + save towards the Regent or a truly dedicated booster: there will likely be more options to choose from by then! ![]()
