Default Recaro Signo vs Britax Boulevard

I thought I decided on the Boulevard, but now I am hearing about the new Signo coming out. It is also cheaper, why is that? I know that the Signo has a higher weight limit than the boulevard, but what are the other differences? I sat my son in a boulevard at BRU, and he seemed very happy in it. Will the Signo be in any actual stores once it is out? I can't even find a Como to try it out with my son and see if it fits my car. Will most online stores take a return if doesn't work with my son and the car? We have a 05 Ford Taurus Wagon and will be getting a new car soon, but not sure what kind yet. Is the signo basically the same seat as the como, just like the boulevard is to the Ma? Just with some extras. I love the "wings" on the blvd for the extra protection, how are the wings on the signo/como? Do they come out as far and are they more comfy? From the pictures of the como, it looks like the sides are higher on the como than the marathon. Which one has better SIP? I would love any advice or info on this seat. Since I haven't mentioned it yet, my son just turned 1 a week ago and is only 17 lb 7 oz and 28 in long. I WILL NOT be turning him around once he hits 20 lbs!! Sorry for all the questions, I have some many since I haven't seen the seats in person.

I don't really know why the Recaro convertible isn't as high priced as the Boulevard, but you can compare the seats through the official websites > Recaro & Britax.... Also, I'm not really well versed on the benefits of certain retailers over others: I suggest merely calling around to ask what their return policies are.

Oh, the Recaro does have deeper sides than Britax, though, which might account for them looking higher? Because the deepest part might be up near a larger child's head area which the lower part I think is just at least deep as Britax.

Has anyone used the Como? It says on the site that it will fit up to a 8 year old. I just want to be able to get the most use out of it. Since it does expire, should I get it when my son grows out of his infant seat or get a cheaper one that goes to 40 lbs and then the recaro? I have heard from many Britax users that their seats really do fit up to a 5, 6 , 7 year old, but haven't talked to anyone that uses the como.

I haven't, no I do hope others will chime in?!

Since it will expire, though, I would wait at least until kiddo is outgrowing the infant seat....
