Question Radian 65/80 or Safeguard?

I'm trying to decide between the Radian (probably 80) and the Safeguard car seat for my 10 month old daughter. She is petite now (27" and 17lb.), and I'm guessing she'll stay that way. My goal is to have her RF for as long as possible and then in a 5-point harness for as long as possible. I'm hearing people say that she'll outgrow the 53" limit before she outgrows 65 pounds on the Radian, so the Safeguard is a better bet at 57" and 65 pounds. Is that likely? 65 pounds seems very small for 57" in my opinion. Would I be better off with the 80 pounds and 53" offered by the Radian 80? Any parents out there with older children in the Radian 80? Thanks for the help!

Unfortunatly, the Safeguard is a foward-facing only seat, so if you're looking to stay RF as long as possible, it looks like you're going to have to go with the Radian. It all reality, there are a number of seats now that go to 35 pounds RF, including the Radian, Recaro, Britx, etc.. The real difference is in their FF limits.
There is a new graco seat that has a 40pound RF limit, the highest available in the USA. If you want to go higher RF (like I do, but hate the selection of seats in the USA), you can always buy a Swedish made car seat. You can buy them online at: CarSeat.se | Swedish Car Seats | Trusted Car Seat Advice | Rear Facing Advice |
The guy who runs the site is an American who now lives in Sweden. Their seats can go up to 65pounds rear facing with way better side impact protection. They are pricy though!
Hope this helps!
