Default Recaro experience with Subaru's

I was wondering if anyone has any experience fitting either a Recaro Como or Signo in the back of a Subaru Forester or Outback? I know Subie back seats are tight, but I really love these seats.
If you do have experience, especially RF, please share what position the seat is in and how well the install went. Thanks!

I do know that they have had several recalls, so that does send up some red flags for ME, as a mom. I've had several friends put Britax seats in their subarus without any problems

Actually they've only had 1 recall on the Como and Signo seats, and it was a simple one that did not affect a large number of car seats. Otherwise it is one of the safest convertible seats on the market.
We bought it for our Forester and it fits perfectly!

I had thought there was 3, but I remembered on the newest one, it originally started out to be the Como (??), then they added the Signo at a later date...or vice versa. I have nothing against the seats (except that the Como is oddly shaped..the hips are like 2" wider than at the shoulder area) and if it fits your vehicle and you like it that's wonderful.

Child Restraint Manufacturers
RECARO NORTH AMERICA, INC.
Make: RECARO

Models: COMO, SIGNO

Production Dates: November 1, 2007 - February 16, 2009

Defect: RECARO NORTH AMERICA, INC. IS RECALLING CARTEIN SIGNO AND COMO CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS MANUFACTURED FROM NOVEMBER 1, 2007 TO FEBRUARY 16, 2009. A MECHANICAL SPRING, LOCATED INSIDE THE LOCKING CAM, WAS MANUFACTURED OUTSIDE THE DIMENTIONAL REQUIREMENTS. THE CENTRAL FRONT ADJUSTER STRAP ON THOSE SEATS CONTAINING THE INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED SPRING WILL SLIP WITHIN THE METEL ADJUSTER (A-LOCK) AND THIS PREVENTS THE HARNESS FROM BEING SECURELY TIGHTENED.

Consequence: IF THIS CONDITION EXISTED AND A VEHICLE CRASH OCCURRED, THE CHILD WOULD NOT BE PROPERLY SECURED IN THEIR CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM AND MAY SUSTAIN INJURY.

Corrective Action: RECARO WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE ANY DEFECTIVE CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 12, 2009. OWNERS CAN CONTACT RECARO CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLL-FREE AT 1-888-473-2290.

Notes: OWNERS MAY ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S VEHICLE SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), OR GO TO HTTP://WWW.SAFERCAR.GOV .
