Default 2003 honda civic and britax marathon

i am so confused! this website says that the britax marathon is a great fit for rear-facing in the center back seat of our 2003 honda civic, using the seat belts -- when i install it that way, it seems to fit fine, but all it takes is a little push from the back of the carseat (towards the front of the car) to smash the whole seat face-first into the back of the backseat... this doesn't seem safe at all! it seems like we would need to attach the back of the carseat to the floor of the car to make this safe, but i don't see any mention of doing something like this in the manual, or anywhere else i try to research it -- in addition of course, our 2003 honda civic doesn't have any sort of latch or ring in the floor to attach anything to anyhow...

the carseat seems to fit great and really securely when we install it forward-facing (although this website doesn't list this as an option?) but we are not ready to switch our kiddo to forward facing yet at this point...

any ideas?

I have the Boulevard, but did a little research.

It appears that the Marathon also has the versa tether too. On the back of your car seat at the top there should be a small pouch with straps in it. That's the versa tether. In addition to that, there should be another strap that has a metal ring on it, as well as a loop in the strap. You take that strap and wrap it around someplace, such as the rail of the passenger seat that the seat slides on. Put the metal part through the loop and attach the versa tether to that.

Hope that helps!
