Default Infinate slide harness

Hi -
I have been looking at the Evenflows with the Infinate slide harness. This at first seems like a great idea to me - a perfect fit every time. Has anyone heard of the research on this - can this part break and child possible ejected from seat?
Also I love the side harness adjustment - it seems way safer than the front harness latch. I have heard of toddles that can figure this out and loosen their harness.
Why is the Britax more popular than the EF Triumph?
Lastly, if you receomend the Britax - I can only afford the Roundabout. Since I have budget restrictions are there any suggestions?
P.S. I have bucket seats on side and slat surface in the middle.

Thanks - Marisa

It's been crash tested & approved just like every other seat ... it doesn't pose any greater risk of breaking than any other seat.

No seat is escape proof for every child. Some buckle releases or harness adjustments are more difficult for some kids, others my be better for different kids. Here's a resource from SafetyBeltSafeUSA > http://www.carseat.org/Resources/635.pdf

EF? Extended (_____) Britax is considered an innovator of the industry. Britax has a reputation for more reliably issues recalls based on in-house testing rather than actual injury & Britax performs side impact testing which is not yet a Federal standard.

Since the Roundabout has the same low weight/height limits as other seats that are less expensive, I would rather choose the Evenflo Triumph Advance because it does meet the safety standards as well as higher limits both RF + FF

What is the vehicle year, make, model? How many kids in the car? What ages, weights, heights? Are alternate vehicles used frequently or do your travel?

Hi - Thanks for that information. I have a 1990 acura integra - with budget seats on the side. I have a 10 year old, a 14 month old (still in his infant seat) and would like to have another baby ina year. One hesitation I have is that the EF tRiumph won't fit in my compact car. Thanks for any further suggestions. Thanks...Marisa

If the harness is as tight as it's supposed to be it shouldn't be possible to move the tabs up simply because all slack has been removed from the strap....

I'm still unsure what "EF" means

Default EF short for evenflo

Hi - I was just using EF as short for EvenFlo. Thanks. I didn't think about that with the straps!
