| Hi I am a first time mom to a son who is 14 months, for the last 6 months or so I have been using the Alpha 3-1 car seat, but since the recall I have been researching which car seat to purchase. My good friend who is a mother of 3 advised me to purchase the above car seat but since the recall I want something different. Any sugesstions? I bought a roundabout for now, but want something to grow with my son and that is safe. I have a 2005 trailblazer and on a website from this forum I saw the britax marthon would not fit, does anyone have a marthon by britax in a trailblazer?? ANy other car seats that are good please reply. Thanks Sara ![]() |

| Revising the search criteria in the database, I find that the larger Britax convertibles (Marathon/Boulevard/Decathalon) all fit "great" with ease of installation scores at "easy" or "very easy" Considering that Britax more reliably issues recalls before real injuries based on more comprehensive crash testing, I would choose them over the other option listed....

| I wouldn't see why a Marathon would have any trouble fitting in a trailblazer, and the database confirms that - search for other years besides 2005, remembering that info comes from users like you and me, so if no one else has added to it that happens to have an '05 trailblazer and a marathon you have to improvise a little. But the listings for all years of Trailblazers show marathons fitting great. The roundabout is great - except it only goes to 40lbs whereas the other Britax seats go to 65lbs. I'd get a Britax Marathon or a Fisher Price Safe Voyage Deluxe or an Evenflo Triumph Advance. You should have no problems fitting them in an SUV. |
