| Congrats on your little guy's new seat! Glad you are keeping him rear facing - I'd imagine he has more leg room in the Blvd than he did in the Chicco? My DD is 17 months & rfing and seems to have plenty of leg room. It's inevitable that there will be some seat pushing/kicking (DD pushes on the seat when she "dances" in her seat! LOL). As long as you have a good tight install, it shouldn't matter. And always intermittently check the tightness of the install. Kids like to sit "Indian-style" or cross-legged by nature - many sit cross-legged in forward facing (after they've outgrown RFing mode) seats to prevent their dangling legs from falling asleep. Again, congrats and always feel free to ask any other questions. Keeping kids safe in vehicles is so important!

| You are very welcome, Im glad I could help. ![]() Kalinky is right about the leg room. I have a Marathon, and they should have the same amount of room. Your son will figure out how go get into a comfortable position. It took my dd a little time to warm up to her Marathon, but now she loves it. She falls asleep everytime we ride the car. Enjoy your new carseat. And remember to rear face as long as possible. ![]() |

| I'm also concerned about rear-facing leg room... A month or so ago I moved my now 15-month old from an infant seat to a rear-facing Britax Roundabout. The edge of the seat goes right up against my seat back, so most of her legs below her knees have nowhere to go. They're either up by her chest, sort of indian-style or spread up the seat back. It's not easy to buckle her in either - I have to position her legs carefully to buckle her up. She's about 22 lbs, and I haven't measured her length lately. Should I turn her around or keep fussing with her leg position? Also, I'm planning to buy a larger Britax for our second car. Sounds like I'll see the same situation with a Boulevard - or will it be better? Thanks in advance for any comments. |
