Need SMALL convertible car seat to booster!?

I have a 04 Toyota Matrix and bought a Britax Frontier. The thing is huge and there will be no legroom for my daughter unless I continue to sit in the back (we've been using a Marathon). I decided that I'm tired of having to sit in the back on long trips (can't drive due to disability so that's out!)

My daughter is 40lbs and 41" tall. I LOVE that the Frontier has the harness up to 80lbs and becomes a booster. Is there anything like this for smaller cars?? These seats are just too big. Why do I have to get a monster car for a safe seat???? Especially when we only have one child and that is all we are having??

If anyone knows anything about booster seats and maybe the Britax booster if it is shorter in the seat or another booster that will allow for legroom?
