Default Britax Blvd 4Runner

We are looking to purchase a new car seat for our DD who is 9 months old, she is outgrowing her Snugride in height. I would like to get the Britax Boulevard but am concerned about how it fits both rear facing and forward facing in the middle seat. Does anyone have the Blvd with a 4Runner, ours is a 2007 if that makes a difference. I would love to hear details of installation and fit.

Our second choice would be the Britax Marathon.

Thanks for the help.

The Marathon and Boulevard are basically the same height/width, etc. The advantage to the Boulevard is it has the TSIP (true side impact protection) AND you can move the harness without having to uninstall the seat.

Since your child is older, you do not have to have that full 45 degree angle (unless there is a medical condition that requires that angle). Being between 30-45 degrees is adequate for an older baby/toddler. What is nice about Britax is that you can brace your front seat against the carseat. So, if you need to push your front seat back some, you CAN have it touching the carseat.

I have installed a Graco Comfortsport (which is shorter than the Britax, but just as wide/big) in a 1997 4Runner a few weeks ago and felt it was a very easy install. Graco will not let you brace the vehicle seat against the carseat, so we did have to move the seat up a bit (this was for a 4 month old) and I installed it at a 45 degree angle. It fit very nicely....it was a bit snug for room, but we managed to get it in there correctly.
