Smile Will The Britax Marathon or Decathlon fit in my car?

Hello, I will be getting a new carseat for my daughter in a few months when she is a year old. Does anyone know if a marathon or decathlon will fit in a 2006 Ford Focus 4- door sedan? I want to buy a Britax with a little more longevity then the Roundabout. Thanks

If you can get an infant seat back there...you can likly get a Britax back there.

By the time your baby outgrow the infant seat they won't need tot 45 degree newborn recline. They can be a bit more upright.

We own a 4 door focus and just bought a britax diplomat. We love it. My husband is tall ( 6'3") and he slide his seat all the way back and it still doesn't touch the car seat. My son already fell asleep in it, so he must like it!

Britax encourages bracing---allowing the carseat to touch the seatback.

So if they do touch...it's not something you should be concerned about.

I have easily installed a rear-facing Marathon in a 2004 Focus sedan and a Decathlon rear-facing in my 2003 Focus wagon. I think both have the same size back seat as your 2006 Focus. I don't think you'll have any problem fitting either seat in your vehicle.
