| I am considering either a Roundabout or Marathon (or possibly the Evenflo Triumph) for my daughter. She is 7 months old, 28 in (95th percentile) in height and 16.5 lbs (50th percentile) in weight. She's been 75th-95th percentile height since birth and she may continue that way. I say may because I am only 5'5" and my husband is 5'9". We have taller people in our familes though. She seems to be longer in the torso than legs. I measured her seat to shoulder height today and it was about 10 and a quarter inches. I have a 2004 Chevrolet Impala, four door sedan. My husband has a 1994 Chevrolet Corsica, four door. I would like to use the same seat in both cars but we could get two separate ones and they wouldn't have to be the same seat. I orginally wanted the Roundabout since it is smaller and then since she is taller thought the Marathon would be a better value. I've been researching the Triumph too and it looks like a good option. Any thoughts, opinions or advice? |

| If you are talking about the Evenflo TRIUMPH ADVANCE, then you are looking at a great seat. AS for the Evenflo TRIUMPH...eh--super short shell and will likely be outgrown VERY early. I have found that the Evenflo Triumph Advance is slightly taller than the Marathon, BUT it will only hold to 50lbs vs the MA's 65lbs. The TA will RF to 35lbs and FF to 50lbs. The Marathon will RF to 33lbs (though they are slowly going to 35lbs) and will FF to 65lbs. They will all likely fit very well in your vehicle b/c you won't have to have that full 45 degree recline that newborns must have (unless she has a medical condition that will not allow her to be inclined). She can be inclined between 30-45 degrees and as long as her head isn't flopping forward when she sleeps, you have the right angle!
