Convertible Booster for 2.9 yr old in Hyundai Santa Fe

our 2.9 yr old son who is 40 inches and 37 lbs has outgrown his Britax Roundabout and we are looking now for a carseat that utlizes a harness for much longer than 40 lbs but will also than turn into a booster when needed. (He is not ready for a booster now).

We bought a Saftey 1st Apex but cant seem to get it snugly into the car (Hyundai Santa Fee 2004) - it moves around. Any suggestions on how to fit this better or recommendations on a different seat to buy?

Look into the Graco Nautilus. It will last longer with the harness than the Apex...and it doesn't have that silly headrest rule that the Apex has.

NOt sure why you wouldnt' be getting a good fit. Are you using latch or seatbelt? Is the headrest on the vehicle interfering with the seat? 	LATCH LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren. It is a system mandated by the Federal government in an effort to standardize and simplify the installation of child restraints without using the vehicle's seat belt system. New vehicles and child safety seats manufactured on and after September 1, 2002 will be equipped with the LATCH system. Cars, minivans, and light trucks will be required to have anchor points between the vehicle's seat cushion and the seat back in at least two rear seating positions, and a top tether anchor (with the exception of convertibles).
