Default Installing a Marathon in a F250

We have a 2003 Ford F250 Supercab (short back seats) and are having trouble installing a Britax Marathon forward facing in it. The problem we are having is the back of the carseat is pushing hard against the back window of the truck. Has anyone installed a Marathon in an F250? If so do you have any advice? Maybe we are doing something wrong. Thanks for your help.

With it installing on the back window is actually okay. Make sure you tether the seat. I had a situation similar to this and when I called britax (and being tossed around to a few people), it was concluded that it is okay as long as it is installed correctly.

The family I was helping was concerned about the window breaking and the seat/head getting all torn up in the case of a crash. Safety glass is made to crack into tiny pieces, but stay together. With it touching the glass, I would also likely get a new seat when the top of the child's head is even with the top of the seat--just for extra safety measures.

We did tether the seat. The seat is pushing so hard on the back window we are afraid it is going to pop out. I am thinking we are going to have to buy a new carseat for the truck.
