Default Britax Decathalon, Roundabout, or Marathon

I have an 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my husband has an 03 Volvo S60 and we are looking at the decathalon, roundabout, or marathon. The Roundabout has a good review on Consumer Reports. I'm just wondering if any of these seats will fit in the Volvo's very small back seat. My daughter is just about 28 inches and maybe 17 lbs. She just turned 7 months. I'm assuming fit won't be too much of an issue in my jeep? But maybe I'm wrong. I'd love some insight from all the pros here We will be buying two seats.

What exactly are the differences between these seats? Anything but size??

Is there another seat someone would recommend? I'm a very nervous driver and want dd to be extremely safe....but don't we all?

Thanks!

Default What about the Boulevard?

I thought I'd add this one to the possibilities. I like that it has side impact protection...will it fit in my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2006?

The Roundabout will be outgrown around 3---so you'll need another harnessed seat, plus with it's short shell, you won't be able to get the max amount of RF time.

The Decathalon---lots of people have problems with the harness adjuster---and you're paying extra money for the inserts.

I don't think you could go wrong with either the Marathon or the BLVD. Both are good seats that will likely last your child to 5 or 6...and by then...the child will likely be ready for a booster(both in maturity and size).

I agree with Susan. The other thing is that with teh Marathon, you have a few more covers to choose from (for some people that is a BIG issue when purchasing a seat). With the Boulevard, you have a tendency to lose about 1/2" of height b/c of the headrest. The biggest problem with the Marathon is that there is only 1 crotch buckle position. So just some things to think about

The best way to find out is to try it. Babies R Us and Toys R Us will allow you to test fit the seat in your car.

The marathon and the blvd have the same size shell...so you can try one if they don't have the other.
