Default 2001 Toyota Rav4 with 3

Help please! I am trying to figure out how we might fit three carseats into my small 2001 Toyota Rav4. I would like to try to fit the car seats we have, but I am afraid that any three seats in my car may not be possible so I am open to suggestions for sure.

The carseats I currently have are a Britax Marathon (my 25 month old - 27 pounds, 36 inches is currently in this seat), a Graco Comfortsport (I am about to move my 4 month old - 15 pounds, 25 inches into this seat), and then I have a Graco Snugride infant seat with a base (that I would put a new infant in, but then I would have to get another bigger seat too). I currently have the Marathon on the passengers side of the car forward facing, and the Comfortsport in the rear facing position on the drivers side. My car has LATCH but not in the middle seat I don't believe.

I would like to have a third baby and not replace my car (it has less than 100,000 miles and is PAID for and we already have one car payment with my husband's Ford Escape Hybrid). Any suggestions?

I personally have not installed any seats in a Rav4 -- but I did manage to (surprisingly & relatively easily) fit 3 rather large seats in my Escape The Radian might be a good choice rather than the Britax & Comfortsport since it's so narrow ... but, again, I'm not sure how it installs in this particular vehicle

Papooses - what seats have you fit in your Escape? I'd like to do 3 across with an infant seat. The other two are 33 lbs and FF. Seats available to me are a MA, a RA (outgrown by the present kiddos), Snugride, and Bolero. Any suggestions?

Default 3 across in 2005 Ford Escape.

With the right puzzling together, you should be able to fit the MA, RA & Snugride I had my FF Boulevard in the center between RF Wizard (driver side) & Snugride -- I also had the FF Boulevard center between RF Wizard & Parkway.... The Parkway wasn't used that often, or I'd have had it in the center: least protected child at farthest point from impact.

Unfortunately the older 2 are to big to rear face. Do you think the Snug ride would fit between the Marathons? I'm not sure either will fit in the RA by the time this is needed. And for later, do you think the Ra would fit RF between the MA FF?

Not sure about the Snugride in the center -- if you can get a tech to help you get it in without the base it should work ... but I suggest not taking it out untill baby outgrows it, then The RA should work RF between the 2 FF MAs, but it's not exactly easy Check your vehicle manual because Ford will likely allow you to install it with LATCH (as per Britax approval), which I found easier to maintain proper install than with seatbelt: otherwise the seat slowly sunk into the 60/40 split. Then install the outboard seats with seatbelt.
