I have a Xterra and I'm expecting my third child in March, I know there is no way to properly fit an infant bucket seat with my 2 current forward facing seats. I've tried before and the only way is to loosen the straps on the latch which I'm not willing to do!!! I have and Eddie Bauer and an Evenflo which are 3 in 1's and are very wide. Has anyone out there successfully and safely fit 3 seats in an xterra?

Here's a little more info, The xterra is a 2006 and I want a removable bucket seat for my infant behind the driver, so my oldest who will be 4 when the baby arrives will be in the middle, I don't think she'll be big enough for a booster because she only weighs 33 lbs now, and my son who will be 2 behind the passenger seat. Cost really isn't an issue because we're trying to avoid getting another car!!! Thanks!!!!

Hey there. I have a 2001 Xterra, so not quite the same, but I've had a few three acrosses in the back. I've had a Britax Wizard rear and forward facing, a Radian forward facing, and a Graco Snugride all across the back. I've had two Wizards and a Radian, all forward facing. How heavy is your two year old? It may work better to have him rear facing to get the seats to fit better. You say you have an Evenflo 3 in 1. So the Symphony? The Dorel 3 in 1s are pretty wide, but removing the base, if you haven't, will allow you to get a little extra space. Definitely don't loosen the LATCH straps! LOL Bad idea. Using the seatbelt often gives more leeway as to where the seat is located in the backseat. It may gain you a couple of precious inches. Like I said, I have a 2001, so I don't know where the LATCH anchors are in the 2006. I'm not familiar with it. Wendy
