| Hello, We have 2 kids, DD is 4y7m - 36 lbs and DS is 3y2m and also 36 lbs. We are expecting baby #3 (EDD September 09) and we have a 2001 Corolla. We need to fit 3 carseats in our Corolla because trading cars is out of question at this moment. I was thinking about getting 2 Radian 80 and an Graco Snug Rider or some other infant car seat at first. Later on, I'll get a convertible for baby #3. Will it fit? My biggest problem is, I do not live in USA. I live in Brazil and those carseats are not available here so I can see if it will fit. I'll travel soon to US and I will buy these carseats there, so I really need help or other suggestions. I would really like to keep DD and DS harnessed for as long as possible. In Brazil, unfortunately it´s not even law yet that children has to ride in carseats, but I know it's safer this way. I would really appreciate some help.

| I can almost bet that you WILL be able to get 3 RAdians across, but I cannot guarantee you will get the snugride between the Radians. It's base is fairly wide. The Radian 80s are no taller than the Radian 65--the only difference is the weight. Looking at your kids, I'm leaning toward them closely outgrowing the Radian 65 in HEIGHT before weight (just assuming), so you may be able to save some money by going with the 65 vs the 80. One of the narrower infant carriers is the Baby Trend Flex-Loc. Its base is very narrow in comparison to the Graco Snugride. My last concern is what do you buckles look like? The ones that are sticking out from the bight (crease) of the backseat? Are they very long? If they are LONG, you MAY have some issues with installing the Radians. I haven't been in a Corolla in a very long time, but some of the 'older' foreign made vehicles buckles tend to be too long and not allowing for a good install with the Radians.

| The buckle is not to long, is about 2-3 inches from the seat. Would "mighty tight" from Sunshine Kids help to get it installed correctly? Our car does not have Latch, so it will have to be installed with seatbelts. DD is now 40 in. and DS is 38 in. Do you think it's worth getting the Radian 80 or 65 would be just fine? Are there other narrow carseats that I can use with weight limit 65 or more (5 pt harness)? Thank you very much for your attention. ![]()

| Even with the seats listed, I believe you will still have an issue getting 3 seats in the rear in the corolla. It might be possible, but it is going to be extremely tight. DO NOT use the Mighty Tight unit. While it does help with getting the seat tight, it does stretch and seatbelt fibers and can cause it to fail in a crash. So the recommendation is that no aftermarket products be used at all. If the seat is able to be fit in the vehicle, you will be able to get it tight with just a little effort. I have to say, get the Radian 80 vs the 65 as for the investment, you will be able to use it longer.
