| Hi- Does anyone have any suggestions for fitting 3 car seats in the back seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee? I have a 3 year old, 18 month old and one more on the way. I am currently using Britax Marathons but will not be able to fit an infant carrier- or any other car seat in between. My kids are on the smaller side so I do not want to put them in boosters- must be a 5 point harness! Thanks for the help! |

| What year is your JGC I do remember reading a bit about some rather troublesome compatability issues with newer model years Boosters aren't likely to help you anyway, though: not only are they not as safe as the harness, but it's a lot more difficult to buckle a booster in tight squeezes compared to the harness which always stays right in front of the body Also, what are the weights/heights of your 2 kiddos currently & do you have a budget just in case you do need to do some carseat swapping...?

| I have a 2005 Jeep GC. My 3 year old is 27 lbs and approx. 35" My 18 month old is 20 lbs and 31". I am not so much concerned with budget as anything would be cheaper than getting a new car I am concerned with keeping them both in a 5 point harness!!Thanks for your help! |

| I'm asking the technician listserve as I think that may be the year when compatability issues started.... If I remember, it is due to the headrests being permanently afixed (adjustable, but not removable) -- which tend to push tall carseats too far foward. The good news is that your kiddos can & should both still be RF (rear facing) Please visit my website for details as to why this is so important + to see 5 year olds comfortably RF ![]() The only high weight (FF) harness seat that I think may work is the Safeguard Go I'm not sure if you'll be able to squeeze an infant seat in with 2 of these, though ![]()
