Default 3 car seats in my outback?

I have a 2005 Subaru Outback station wagon. I have twins who are almost 3 years old, and they are fairly small for their age. They weigh approximately 27 pounds each, and are approximately 36 inches tall (this last number is a guess). I am expecting another baby in 6 months and would really like to fit 3 carseats in my Outback.
We currently have 2 Graco Comfortsports. They are in the back seat, middle and behind the passenger. This leaves enough room for a very small adult to sit behind the driver . . . but I don't think it leaves enough room to fit an infant seat.
The Graco Comfortsports are very narrow (17") - is there any toddler seat that is more narrow? (I'm willing to buy new seats if it means I don't have to buy a new car).
Any suggestions for how I could fit 3 car seats in my back seat, given that my twins aren't ready for booster seats yet (and won't be for quite a while)?
If I have to get a new car, I'd love to avoid an SUV or minivan - any suggestions for what car might work?
Thank you for any suggestions!
Ghita

The Sunshine Kids Radian is only 14" wide at the base & has a nice low profile -- I don't know if they'll fit FF next to each other, but it shouldn't be too hard to put an infant between them.... The Radian fits both newborns + older kids well & will keep your twins safer in the harness longer before they need to switch to a booster. I don't know how the Radian installs in the Subaru, but if your local Babies-R-Us doesn't have it then just make sure the online retailer has a good return/exchange policy & make sure you have a local CPST check your install

Default 3 car seats in 2005 outback?

I thought the Radian is 17" wide at the base?? Just like the Comfortsports.
With the Comfortsports, I feel like the base may be 17" wide, but the sides of the car seat are slightly wider than that. Is the Radian shaped the same way? I haven't found one locally yet to look at.
Any recommendation for what infant seat might fit in the middle of two FF Radians?

The widest part of the Radian is 17" but this is not the base & the Radian is shaped quite differently than any other convertible since it has such a low profile & because of it's foldability feature.

Graco Snugrides are pretty narrow. I haven't had a chance to compare various infant seats myself, though since our local selection is very minimal.

As far as infant rear facing only seat go, the Chicco keyfit is one of the narrowest with the highest weight limit. It is 17" and is designed for infants 4-30lbs. The Graco Snugride is 17.5" wide and the Graco Safeseat is 18.3" wide. The Graco Cargo is 16.5" wide and is forward facing only, but it does not have the higher weight limit with the harness that the Radian offers.

Good Luck
Andrea
