| Hi there, I have two sons right now, one just turned five and the other almost three. We're expecting a third (surprise!) in August and I'm trying to figure out if there's any way I can hang onto my beloved Forester. Currently the five year old (big for his age) is in a Graco booster and the three year old (on the smaller side) is in a Britax roundabout. It doesn't appear that there will be room for any kind of infant seat between them. Would switching the 3 year old into a Radian help? Any one else tried fitting 3 in a Forester? |

| Have you already picked out your infant carrier? One idea would be to head to a store that has infant carriers and try them in your vehicle. Graco has pretty wide bases. Baby trent seats are pretty narrow. You would likely need to puzzle the seats around. You could definitely take your seats to a car seat tech and have them help you out!

| It is possible to fit 3 car seats in a subaru forester. I wrote a detailed post about it today. You should be able to put both your 3 year old and your 5 year old in the Safe Guard Go Hybrid Booster behind the passenger and in the center and fit just about any infant or convertable seat (including the Britax you have) RF behind the driver. The radian would also work for your 3 year old. Both of these seats are 17" inches wide, which would leave up to about 19" for the infant seat. We love our subaru forester too and hope you can make it work! $400 on new car seats is a great deal compared to a new car you don't want! |
