Default any family sedans that will fit 3 car seats??

we're looking for a family sedan that will fit a rear facing baby seat along with 2 boosters in the back seat. Any suggestions? We already have an SUV so would prefer not to buy another.

I am thinking an Accord would work with the RF baby in the middle with 2 boosters on the side. You could also try a Camry, Malibu etc.

What are the ages/weights/heights of all the kids? We may need to also rethink the seats you currently have to find the easiest configuration....

Otherwise: I've found the Intrepid, Taurus, Malibu, Accord & Elantra to be the easies to fit 3 seats across

The Hyundai Sonata is also good for three-across.

Default Saab 9-5s (wagon or sedans) work

These work and are amoung the highest rated in passenger safety (up there with Volvo's).

You can find them at reasonable cost ~$14K for 3 year old car.

Wagon has more luggage space than most SUV's.

Can you tell what I have??

I have an Accord and need to put three convertible seats in the back. Two rear facing and one forward facing. Which seats did you have the best fit with in the Accord going three wide? Thanks in advance.

Default Bigger car or smaller boosters?

I was in your shoes and rather than buy a bigger car, I found narrower boosters that would fit 3 wide. (I bought a Toyota Scion XB). The 3 seats fit, but I really need a solution to DIGGING FOR THE DARN SEATBELTS DOWN IN THE SEATS!

So, i'm looking for seatbelt extenders or something. I imagine millions of parents doing the same digging exercise every day, frantically trying to find the little red button between their kids' carseats.

Does anyone have a solution to the digging? If not, I'm going to open my own business and I'll come here first.

Default Couldn't fit the 3 seats; now working on a new product

When I had my 3rd child, we couldn't find a way to fit the seats so we ultimately got a Honda Odyssey. I found the "fitting 3 seats" problem so common whenever I talked to anyone who had 3 little ones. It even becomes a bigger problem when the kids get older and you then struggle to fit multiple booster seats. As a result, my sister (also a mother of 3) and I have been working on a new type of child booster seat, called the Boosterbench. Its basically a multiple child booster seat system that includes features for adjusting the width to fit in different vehicles and openings for accessing the seat belt buckles to secure your children. Details can be found on www.lonsister.com

We are always looking for feedback on the Boosterbench design. If you face the "fitting 3 seats" problem, I'd appreciate if you could take a look at my website www.lonsister.com and let me know what you think of the Boosterbench.

Thanks.

Hi Kerry! I wanted to let you know that I did receive your email, but have been busy with family vacation + I just returned from the Eastern Regional safety conference.... As always, so long as the safety seat meets the current applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards this unique solution could be an answer -- however, I do have major reservations over the possibility of increased risk of misuse (I imagine this would be much more difficult to achieve a correct install with less than 1" movement at the belt path) Also, parents who travel or who utilize certain types of daycare services would likely need spare seats, even moreso than the average parent since this seems rather cumbersome for frequent uninstalling/reinstalling. Beyond these issues, which are based on guesses merely from viewing pictures, I cannot give any more detailed feedback, but I would love to get my hands on a seat to test out
