Have you tried the
Chicco KeyFit? You can leave the handle up...and that'll give you a bit more room. Maybe one of the
Combi seats---but some of them have tricky installs. Their handles MUST be up in the car.
Safety 1st, Eddie Bauer, Cosco, Evenflo,
Britax and
Peg Perego all say the handle has to be down while you are driving.
Have you checked the manual to see if you can install the seat in the center of the back seat? I'm not familar with your backseat, so I don't know exactly what you're dealing with.
