| We are expecting our first and second (yes, twins) children come October/November of this year. We're trying to find information on what would be the best car seat to put into my truck, which is a 2005 Nissan Frontier King Cab (4 doors). I've done some internet searching and am still waiting for a phone call from our local dealership but am always up for other suggestions. My buddy had the exact same truck and flat out told us that, "Nothing fits in there so we suggest you just sell it like we did". I'm in love with my truck, especially since it's paid off and we don't want another monthly car payment, so I'm hoping to find an answer to our problem. Thanks in advance. MJW |

| You're going to have to go and try different seats out. BRU and TRU will let you take seats out to the truck to let you do a test install. Be patient....when installing them...fully install them, make sure you can get the correct recline. With newborns, esp twins who may be preemies, it's VERY important to get a full 45* recline in order to keep their airways open. I suggest you start by reading your truck manuals section on installing child restriants. Then test out some seats....my suggestions: Chicco KeyFit, Graco SafeSeat 1, Graco Snugride, Combi Connection or Centre. With all of these seats you can leave the handle up, with the exception of the Combi seats---their handle MUST be left up. Evenflo, Peg Perego, Cosco, Safety First, Eddie Bauer and Maxi Cosi require that the handle be down in the car...and that can take up space...and the Evenflo infant seats require 1.5" between it and the seat in front of it. The dealer is not likely to be of any help to you honestly. Susan |

| Right, dealership employees generally have little to NO knowledge of child passenger safety, especially as far as carseat selection.... Same is true for most retail store employees. It's up to you: the database here is a starting point, but you have to try seats out in your vehicle Once you've found one that you like & is easy to use, contact your local certified CPST for an appointment (you can use the bottom link in my signature)
